This is a one of a kind original 11x15 inch watercolor and ink painting on paper.
Back when I made artwork for the oM album, The Gay Parade, I created stencils to make the font and I took the cut out letters and made this. It tells the tale of a mom, fed up with her husbands and son and makes a deal with a lonely alien shape shifter to take her place. The son ends up figuring out who the alien really is and catches her but the mom is already long gone in her convertible. I can't honestly remember why I made this, haha, I just remember the story. I guess I've kind of done that my whole life. I make things and lots of times I don't really know why I'm making it and kind of just follow the flow in an almost absent minded state. It's probably like meditating. While in school I learned people liked it if the image had a story so I would pretty much just open a pipe in my head and let what flowed out be the story. I came to enjoy that as much if not more than actually making the image.
